Daikin & ErP Directive’s requirements

As part of the new Energy Related Product (ErP) Directive, since 1st January 2013 all air conditioning units up to 12kW must meet minimum energy efficiency levels assessed throughout the year, as a result new energy labels have been introduced.

What is the ErP Directive?

The regulation provides rules for improving the environmental performance of energy related products (such as air conditioners).

The EU directive takes into account all the environmental impacts of a product right from the earliest stage of design. Daikin is anticipating the forthcoming, related legislation.

Daikin’s Sky Air range exceeds the minimum ErP Directive’s requirements!

Daikin’s latest innovations in air conditioning mean it’s Sky Air Seasonal Smart and Seasonal Classic ranges already meet the new seasonal efficiency legislation and the tighter energy efficiency thresholds coming in force in 2014, therefore Space Air Daikin can offer customers the highest levels of energy efficiency, thus reducing energy bills and carbon emissions.

New Energy Label

The energy label is designed to improve awareness of energy efficient products.

The new label includes information on SEER for cooling and SCOP for heating on air conditioning and ventilation products. The energy label also displays the sound power levels of indoor and outdoor units.
