Space Air focuses on expertise

Space Airconditioning plc; the UK’s only authorised independent Daikin Distributor has recruited several new staff members as part of a strategic realignment of departmental responsibilities. Commenting on the changes, Managing Director Neil Afram said, “One of our great strengths as a successful Daikin Distributor for over 30 years is the expertise we have across all our departments and our 100+ staff.”

“Much our work today involves quite complex applications for major and prestigious projects; we recognised an opportunity for a higher level of integration of the exceptional skill sets between our applications, sales, and technical after-sales departments. We have created a new Engineering department (formerly technical after-sales) and increased staffing levels to complement this highly knowledgeable team of engineering technicians. They will continue to field after-sales technical enquiries, commission installations and deliver our training programmes but they will also work much more closely with our business development and specialist sales teams, particularly on project work.”

Mike Nankivell, Marketing and Business Development Director, explained further changes at Space Air. “We have strengthened our team of R22 Replacement Advisors, headed up by Tim Boxall and now supported by Glenn Cooke and Dave Atkins, (all have long service with Space Air) and created a new National Consulting Sales Group, both of which operate as part of the business development department. The new Group includes senior representatives in Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester. Here in Guildford,

in addition to new sales support staff, we are delighted to welcome to the Group, Nadia Truttero, Consulting Sales Engineer, Chris Stanley (left) as a Consulting Sales Manager and Mitch Annsselin (right) as Applications/Sales Manager.

Nadia has been with us for almost 2 years, but has been involved in both specifying and selling Daikin equipment for most of her career. Chris brings a wealth of contracting and sales experience spanning more than 27 years in both applied and packaged air conditioning. Mitch’s broad sales background in the HVAC industry includes an extensive knowledge of Daikin equipment.” Mr. Nankivell concluded. “Our business philosophy has always been to provide well engineered solutions based on Daikin products, this realignment and recruitment programme brings together unsurpassed expertise in Daikin technologies and enables us to offer our customers and particularly specifying clients the benefit of a cohesive team approach to any application.”
